We are very specific in how we gather the Kawakawa leaves for our kawakawa balm. Our kawakawa is wild harvested with karakia in time with the full moon following the maramataka. Used leaves are returned to the forest.
Over many weeks, our kawakawa extracts are gently oil-infused until the pure natural oil takes on a rich green hue and has the distinctive peppery scent of Kawakawa.
We use two potent kawakawa extracts in two different forms to capture a wider spectrum of kawakawa's amazing botanical actives, ensure that every batch of Kawakawa Balm has the same high percentage of our beautiful kawakawa extracts.
