DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Wet shampoo bar and lather through the hair. Rinse well.
After shampooing, massage the conditioner bar into damp hair. Leave on hair for a couple of minutes, then rinse well.

* Tetrasodium EDTA is used is used in a minute amount (1 part per thousand) to stabilise and preserve the shampoo bar.

Refunds and returns
If you change your mind, simply return unopened, unused product for a full refund. In the very unlikely event of a negative reaction, get in touch to share your experience and discuss returning the product to us for a refund. Are your facial products suitable for all skin types?
Yes, our Kakadu Facial Oil, Bakuchiol Rejuvenate Serum, Cleansing Oil and Lip Calm are 100% natural and formulated to be suitable for all skin types, including those with sensitive skin. Our Kūmarahou Facial Cleansing Cake is made from natural and naturally-derived ingredients and is formulated to be gentle for sensitive skin.
Whenever you add a new product into your skincare routine we do recommend that you always patch test first before use.
Our Bakuchiol Rejuvenate Serum includes 1% of a high-potency Bakuchiol extract.
Scientific studies have shown .5% Bakuchiol extract in a formulation is as effective as .5% retinol at improving hyperpigmentation and fine lines when used daily for 12 weeks, all without the skin irritation common with retinol. Keep in mind bakuchiol won't be comparable to stronger retinoids such as retinaldehyde or retinoic acid.
Bakuchiol is a gentle alternative to retinol, but it is a potent botanical active so we recommend patch testing first and building up use if your skin is sensitive. Please message us if you'd like more specific recommendations.

Do you have products suitable for blemish-prone skin?
Yes we do! Our Kawakawa Cleansing Bar with Chlorophyll has had great results as a gentle, balancing cleanser for those suffering with acne due to the anti-bacterial properties of the Kawakawa Chlorophyll extract.
We recommend pairing this with Bakuchiol Rejuvenate Serum which includes 1% bakuchiol extract known to exhibit anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and balance sebum (oil) production.
One study* found that a formulation with 1% bakuchiol extract applied twice daily reduced acne by 57% after six weeks.

Absolutely. Nothing but good goes into our natural skin care and all our beauty products are free from nasty chemicals, skin irritants or synthetic fillers.

Absolutely. Our hair care bars are designed with all the family in mind.
How should I store my hair care bars?
When not in use, store your bars away from water - e.g. outside the shower - on a well-draining soap dish to make it last as long as possible. A saucer with pebbles is a nice DIY soap dish idea.
How soon can I expect my order?
We pack orders within one business day of receiving them and ship orders from Frankie HQ in Auckland every Monday to Friday.

Delivery across Auckland - usually next day or 1-2 days from courier collection.
North & South Island - 1-2 days
Australia:
Standard postal service is 5-14 days provided there are no unexpected delays.
FedEx service - usally within 4-5 days.

I’m really enjoying these. You really don’t need to use much either, especially the shampoo one. I used way too much the first time and it dried my hair out a bit but I’m gonna be ok. The conditioner is my favourite, smells divine, could even be a touch stronger with the scent. I’ve been using it to shave my face with too with great results along with the added bonus of smelling it more. Then I use the balm as an aftershave. Great products, I’m so happy to have discovered them. Lovely people to deal with too. Thank you.
Our whanau have only used Frankie shampoo and conditioner bars for years now, whenever we’ve tried other products the noticeable inferiority leaves us wanting Frankie only. Healthy scalps and healthy hair. Environmentally responsible. Good for us and Papatuanuku ♥️♥️♥️

I’ve recently bleached and dyed my hair lavender which I love but because of all the chemicals used and despite using copious amounts of hair mask, my hair looks like straw. A bit sad as it wasn’t cheap to get the hair done and because it doesn’t look healthy, I just tie my hair up in a bun. After using Frankie’s shampoo and conditioner bars, my hair looks incredible and I can flaunt my lavender hair around again. So happy! I left the conditioner on overnight as a hair treatment trusting that with all the natural ingredients, it shouldn’t affect the dyed colour on my hair and it worked wonders!

Kia ora Racheal, thanks for taking the time to leave a review! Just a tip that the conditioner bar isn't suppost to soap up. To use it, make sure the bar is wet and your hair is wet (you can squeeze out extra moisture), then rub the wet bar along your wet hair a few times to coat the hair. Wait 1-3 minutes and then you will feel the ccreamy emulsion on your hair, then rinse out. Hope that helps, but will email to followup. Ngā mihi, Georgina
Really love this shampoo and conditioner, it leaves my hair feeling so soft and clean, my itchy scalp has gone that I got using other bar shampoos so I am rapt to find a really nice bar shampoo and conditioner. Thank you Frankie, as usual your products do what you say they do.
After moving to NZ, every shampoo bar I tried caused me to have dry, itchy, flaky scalp, something I had never suffered with before. I had almost given up when I found Frankie Apothecary. After 2-3 uses, I noticed a huge shift. After another week, all of my symptoms were gone. Now, I won't use anything else. I've also invested in their face oil and body oil. It feels and smells incredible on my skin, and I notice such a difference. Better yet, this is a small whānau-run business with excellent customer care, and I mean care, and well-deserved awards to boot.

Dandruff shampoos have dried my hair out and most of the time the dandruff come back. I've been using both shampoo and conditioner bars for a week now, and I've noticed my hair is a lot shinier and no longer frizzy. Even with just the shampoo alone, it doesn't feel dry and looks a lot healthier. My dandruff have also calmed down and I'm seeing less patches come back.
